Northwestern Mutual invests in AI-based medical records startup

Northwestern Mutual is investing up to $85,000 in a startup that's developing an artificial intelligence-based platform for extracting data from electronic medical records. Pythonic AI is receiving the investment as part of winning Northwestern Mutual's Reverse Pitch MKE, a competition where the company invites entrepreneurs and startups to pitch tech solutions for problems presented by the Milwaukee-based life insurance and financial services giant. One of the challenges was finding a solution for streamlining the medical review process.
